We have recieved all of the submissions for the 2013 True Depiction Project, and we are thoroughly impressed!
For those of you that aren’t familiar with last year’s True Depiction Project, the TDP is a media art project that aims to have youth portray their opinions on the topic of “Education”. YMCAGTA youth can use any form of media art they choose, so long as the product contained both a vocal and visual component, whether it be a video, song, spoken word, picture slideshow, short movie etc.
We received projects between 5-7 minutes long from across the GTA and we have chosen the top three projects that we feel are the most original, creative and show a great deal of thought. These three winners have won $160.66 towards a program activity of their choice! Check out our winners below:
1st Place: Mississauga Employment Centre – YLC
“Education is the Key to Changing the World” – Mississauga YLC
2nd Place: North York – NYLD
“Education is the Most Powerful Weapon You can Use to Change World” – Nelson Mandela
3rd Place: Rexdale
“Education is Diverse” – Rexdale YMCA youth
Congratulations to all of our winners and all of those who submitted their creative entries!
